John Adam Setzer Jr

John Adam Setzer Jr., affectionately known as Papa, age 80, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024 in Myrtle Beach, SC. 

A graduate of Ohio University, John enjoyed a successful career as Vice President in Human Resources. 

Faith, Family and Football can best describe John. A devout Catholic, John most enjoyed spending time with family and playing games, listening to Motown and Beach music, and watching sports. 

An avid Carolina Panthers fan, John was a 30 year season ticket holder. 

John is survived by his wife, Nancy of 57 years; daughter, Laurie Thornburg (William) and sons John III and Todd (Ashley). Grandchildren Natalie, Lindsay, Reagan, Gray and Lane; Two sisters, Carol Tarbet (Richard) Simpsonville, SC and Barbara Snyder (Mike) Fletcher, NC.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, December 30, 2024 at St. Andrew Catholic Church 503 37th Avenue Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
