John Edward Patterson, 73, of North Myrtle Beach, died on September 2, 2023. John was born on April 2, 1950 to George and Gladys Patterson in Clifton Springs, New York.
John attended high school at Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls, NY. He also graduated with honors from the state university at Oswego, NY. John taught English for 31 years at Auburn High School; he was dearly loved by his students. He was a member of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. He loved golf, traveling especially to Hawaii, and collecting flashlights. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Ann (boo) Patterson, his brother George Patterson (Betty), his brother-in-law John Hughes(Barbara), Chuck (Gail), Lafler, Beth (Steve) Gravitte, Jim (Tam) Lafler, and Jennifer(Brian) Alexander.
