Joel Thomas Teague, 69, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on March 26, 2026.
Born on March 19, 1957, in North Carolina, Joel lived a life defined by independence, resilience, and strength. He was fun-loving and enthusiastic about life, known for his friendly and charismatic nature, and a true jokester who brought laughter and joy to those around him.
Joel made his home in Myrtle Beach, where he spent his later years. He will be remembered as a man who lived life on his own terms, with a steady presence and a perspective uniquely his own. He had a natural ability to connect with others, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his partner, Rui Chen; his daughter, Crystal Teague Strapazzon (husband David), of Clarksville, Tennessee; his daughter, Brittany Teague of Greensboro, North Carolina; and his son, Wyn Teague of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and his grandson, Jaiden Strapazzon. He is also survived by his brothers, Brantley and John.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann Murphy Teague and O.B. Teague, Jr.
Joel will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warmth, humor, and love for life will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
