Jeffrey “Jeff” Glenn Hine 65 passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Angel House in Whiteville, NC, with his loving wife by his side.
Jeff was born September 25, 1960, in Neptune, NJ, the son of Rev. Glenn Hine and the late Norma Jean Tabb Hine. His family moved to New York State when he was two years old. The Hine family eventually settled in Spencer, NY and Jeff lived most of his adult life there. In 2017, Jeff and his wife moved to Myrtle Beach, SC.
Jeff was a devoted husband, dad, brother, son and friend. Being with and caring for his family was his biggest joy. Jeff loved, he loved big.
He was a man that every man should strive to be.
He and his wife enjoyed traveling and had recently discovered cruising. He loved to fish and camp. He took his family on many adventures and explored the world. One of his favorite trips was the ones he took with his brother-in-law to Algonquin Provincial Park back packing and canoeing in the interior.
Jeff was an auto mechanic for over forty years working at Monro, Kost Tire and Mr. Tire.
He is survived by his wife, Dody Olsson-Hine, two daughters, Tasha (Vinny) Demlein and Ginny (Tavarus) Smith. Stepson, Rob (Chyloe) Quinn. His sister, Laurie (Mike) Meyers, nine grandchildren and one great grandson; special niece Amanda (Scott) Kuper and many nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Marge (Ric) Struxness, brother- in- laws, George (Patti) Olsson and Mike Olsson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, AUGUST 15, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach, SC.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice at lifecare.org/donate.
