Jeffrey Charles Whelan

The family of Jeffrey Charles Whelan announces his peaceful passing on Tuesday June 16, 2026. Born on April 30th 1958 in Miami FL. A son of the late Charles William Whelan, Clara P. and Bobby Johnson. He is preceded in death by his brother Mike Whelan and sister-in-law, Jackie Whelan. Mr. Whelan was a former member of Seacoast Vineyard Church of Myrtle Beach. He was a master carpenter and worked in construction most of his life. Jeff was an avid golfer, fisherman and musician all of his life. He is survived by his son, Jeremy R. Whelan and wife Lindsey, as well as his sister, Deborah Whelan Hightower and two brothers, Daniel E. Whelan and Joseph J. Johnson. Along with his son and siblings, he is also survived by his former spouse Kathy and the grandsons they shared, Jered and Jacob. Jeff had seven nephews that he loved dearly and five nieces also close to his heart. Visitation 3pm Monday June 22nd followed by 4pm service at McMillan-Smalls.
