James Robert Wooddell

James Robert Wooddell, 67, formerly of Greenbelt Maryland entered into his heavenly home on December 2, 2021.

Born on February 1, 1954 the son of the late Robert Merle Wooddell and Virginia Dare Wooddell and brother to Rita Kay Wooddell.  He is a 1972 graduate of Parkdale high school of Riverdale, Maryland and a graduate of the University of Maryland.

He loved traveling, golfing and riding his “Indian“ motorcycle. He was an outstanding healthcare administrator and was passionate about caring for the elderly. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, and great grandchild. He was a loving and thoughtful gentleman and highly respected by many.

Jim is survived by his wife, Janice Kay (Parker) Wooddell of Glen Jean, West Virginia. Daughters, Emily Hess (Jeff Hess), grandsons Dylan and Ean Hess. Lori Wooddell (Phil Gladden), Michael Martin (Tara Martin), great grandson Micah, Seth and Abigail Carson. His faithful basset hound, Molly.

He was preceded in death by his grandson Jacob Hess.

A celebration of life service will be held on December 11, 2021 at 2 PM at Sun Full Gospel Church in Sun West Virginia with Frank Forsythe presiding.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sun Full Gospel Church or a charity of your choice in Jim’s name.
