It is with profound sadness and gratitude that I share the passing of my beloved father, James C Matthews, who left us on May 28, 2025 at the age of 83 in Myrtle Beach,SC. Surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final moments. He was a man of immense Strength and wisdom . His passion for God and his unwavering spirit will forever be remembered. 

James was born on 07/23/1941 in Florence, SC. He was a Licensed Real Estate Broker and enjoyed Golf. He lived a life marked by unwavering faith and a deep love for God and his family.A man of strong character and integrity, He taught us the value of hard work, honesty, and kindness. He was a true example of Christian living. Though we mourn his loss, we celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves behind. The family will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

He is survived by his Children: Daphne, Dottie, James, & Ozzie. His GrandChildren: Kaitlin, Kirstin & her husband Andrew, Thomas, Hunter, and Dakota and also his Great Grand Children: Elijah and Liam as well as his Sister: Shielda. He was preceded in death by Chester Colvin Matthews and Lillian Bennett Matthews.

The Viewing & Funeral services will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach, SC., 29572.
