James Marlow Turner, 76, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025.
Jim was born January 28, 1949, in Asheville, NC, a son of the late Robert Paul Turner Sr. and Kathryn Elizabeth Free Turner.
He was pre-deceased by his stepson, Michael Horton, a brother, Bobby Turner, and sister-in-law, Jean Turner.
Jim loved his family, he was funny, always caring for others and was so playful with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf with friends, traveling, gardening, and was a classic car enthusiast. He was active member of Ocean View Baptist Church and cherished the people in his Sunday School class. He proudly served in the US Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Turner, stepchildren, Lee Horton and wife Jennifer, Julie Horton Rieman and husband Brad, grandchildren, Alexandra Horton, Isabella Horton, Harrison Rieman and Calista Rieman, a brother, Ronald Turner, sisters, Karen Fisher (Jon) and Becky Jordal (Jake ) and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, December 12, 2025 (Friday) at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM.
