Harry Fatkin Obituary

Harry Fatkin, Age 98, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday,
September 22, 2022 at his residence in Longs, SC. Harry was born in Carlos,
MD, son of the late Joseph A. Fatkin and Catherine Faye Hitchins Fatkin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jane Drew Fatkin, son-in-law
David Evans of Longs, one sister, Beatice Fatkin DeVault, and one brother,
David Fatkin.

A World War II Veteran, Harry returned home and worked the majority of his
career at Allegany Ballistics Laboratory/Northrop Grumman, as a Contract
Administrator. He retired in 1986.

Harry's life view was evident in his smile and unconditional love. He showed
Jesus through his gentle and kind ways. In his home state of Maryland,
Harry was an active member of Trinity Assembly of God Church, in Midlothian.
He held positions of Elder, Treasurer, and Adult Sunday School Teacher.

Throughout his life, Harry studied prophecy, primarily the Book of
Revelation. In 2015, with help of close friend Dana Snipes, Harry and he
published a book entitled, From Now to Eternity. He enjoyed leading
numerous Bible study groups before and after publication, meeting many new
friends along the way.

Harry is survived by his two daughters: Mary Jane Evans of Longs and
Kathryn Wright and husband, Randy, of Conway, SC; sister-in-law Coralee Engle
of Longs; six grandchildren: Harry Evans, Dave Evans, Katy Heit, Jessica
Knight, Austin Wright, and Andrea Alexander; twelve great-grandchildren, and
one great-great grand-daughter. Harry was also loved by many nieces, nephews,
and friends.

Harry enjoyed family meals at Hoskins, Curley's, and especially Mission BBQ,
where he was often honored for his military service.

The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of Tidelands Hospice
for the excellent care they provided to the family and special thanks
