Obituary

William Hardy Ledbetter, 83, passed away the morning of May 11, 2022 at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Hardy was born on June 26, 1938, in Savannah, Georgia to the late Margaret and William Ledbetter.  He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Malphrus and her husband Lamar Malphrus of Fountain Inn, South Carolina.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Hardy leaves behind so many who loved him.  Hardy is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Ingram Ledbetter, his daughter, Julia Nelle Ledbetter of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, his son, Ward and wife, Michelle Ledbetter of Pinehurst, North Carolina, and his adored grandchildren, Kate and Jackson Ledbetter of Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Hardy was a United States Air Force National Guard Veteran and was in Hospital Administration for many years.  Hardy was a Mason, the president of the Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris Award.  He played on the Presbyterian College football team in the 1960 Tangerine Bowl.  He also enjoyed fishing and western movies and books.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with a visitation to follow.
