Obituary

Guy Nardo, recently of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away peacefully at home on April 27 after an illness. Born in 1941 in Philadelphia, PA, Guy enjoyed an illustrious 38-year career at Dow Jones, serving as VP of General Services by the time he retired in 2006. Guy and is first wife Theresa had two boys, Guy and Deron. Guy was active in both boys’ lives as a baseball, basketball and soccer coach and as a mentor and friend. Guy was remarried to Jan Steinberg in 2003 and thrived in the same role to Jan’s son, J.T.  as he thrived in football and hockey and eventually as a news anchor. Guy had four beautiful grandchildren, Jenna, Kathryn, Giovanna and Nicholas.

 

Guy was an avid skier, golfer and pickle-ball player, and was known for his sense of humor, loving personality and homemade limoncello recipe. He took up cooking after retirement and often humbly referred to his homemade dishes as “restaurant quality.”

 

Guy was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Nicholas, and his first wife, Theresa, and is survived by his sister, Rose, his wife, Jan, his sons, Deron (wife Kirby) and Guy (wife Kim) and J.T. (wife Samantha), his grandchildren Jenna, Kathryn, Giovanna and Nicholas.
