Georgia Toscano (Pappas) of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025. She was a loving wife to the late Louis Toscano for over 70 years and a cherished daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Born in Chicago, Illinois she resided in both New York and Connecticut for many years before moving to South Carolina.
Georgia was a devoted member of churches in the communities where she lived, most recently St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Myrtle Beach.
She is survived by her brothers Peter Pappas of Arlington Heights, IL and Dennis Erbes of Myrtle Beach, SC and brother-in-law Patrick Kozinski; and nephews Christopher Pappas and Jason Pappas (Lena).
In addition to her parents and her husband, Georgia is preceded in death by her beloved sister Margie Milonas and dear sister-in-law Kathleen Pappas.
Georgia was a warm and caring person that had a contagious laugh. She was a loving friend and a good listener and above all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her passion for music and the arts brought joy to her life and she liked to paint and play the piano. She also enjoyed watching home and garden shows, and spending time with her dogs.
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Myrtle Beach. Burial will follow in Southern Palms Memorial Gardens.
