Obituary

Myrtle Beach, SC Gary N. Pelehaty, 67, died Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his home. Born March 12, 1953 in Morrisville, PA, son of Nicholas and Elizabeth (Barkasy) Pelehaty. Gary retired as President and CEO of Peoples Savings Bank in Bordentown, NJ and relocated to North Myrtle Beach and was employed as Sales Manager for Century 21 Coastal Lifestyles in North Myrtle Beach. He was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and was active in many local and civic groups such as the Rotary, Elks Lodge, Military Affairs, Bordentown Twp Committee, Bordentown Little League, and others. He was a current member of the National Assoc of Realtors with many property/appraisal certifications. He enjoyed golf, watching the Philadelphia Eagles, cooking, spending time with family, and looked forward every year as lead transportation volunteer for Monday after the Masters. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Pelehaty; daughters, Ali Raynor (Wayne) of Hamilton, NJ and Jackie Picard (George III) of Cameron, NC; stepsons, Ryan Brecko (Laura) of Gainesville, VA and Bruce Kelly Jr. of Lemoore, CA; 9 dearly loved grandchildren; brother Dennis Pelehaty (Maureen) of Lower Makefield, PA; a sister in law, Catherine Fascik (Dean); & many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Elizabeth Pelehaty of Morrisville, PA and a stepson, Matthew Brecko. A Memorial and Catholic Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 23, 2020 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach.
