Gale Eugene Wick

Gale E. Wick entered the Heavenly gates on May 15, 2023 at Embrace Hospice House. 

Born on June 1, 1938 in New Carlisle, Ohio to the late Marvin and Margery Wick.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents and loving wife of 58 years Mary L. Wick. What a reunion it must have been as he loved Mary endlessly.

Surviving are his three children who he cared for so deeply; Teresa Walker [John],Tim Wick [Allison], Kevin Wick [Lorraine]. 

His wonderful sisters; Kaye Moore & Judy Miller (Jim) as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces & Nephews and a myriad of Cousins. 

His grandchildren whom loved him so; Kasie Parker [John], Kyle Walker [Julie], Ryan Wick [Katie], Sean Ward, Jacqui Day [Chris].

His beautiful great-grandchildren; Logan & Marli Parker, Veda, Kipton and Dovey Day & Violet Wick.

Gale Wick was an avid race car fan, really anything with “wheels” especially the #3 Car. He also loved taking walks on the beach with a cigar, tide watching, woodworking and spending time with his family. If he were to combine any of these things with a rod, a reel, a boat, and a cold one then you could really see Gale's face light up with joy. A man that was tough as nails but would still melt in front of his loving wife. His wife, Mary, had a long road of illness and Gale was there for every step that was needed. A man amongst men, he could fix anything and if he couldn't he would figure out a way. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends but we find comfort knowing he is making bird houses in the great azure yonder with the Lord. A guy of many names, Dad, Husband, Pepaw, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, #1. If you look in the dictionary for the word Supreme, it should feature a picture of Gale grinning with a cigar and a fishing pole weighed down with one of the many fish he'd catch on his dock in Lake Wateree.

The family would like to send a heartfelt Thank You to Embrace Hospice House and Agape Hospice Care for their care and support during this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at McMillan Small Funeral Home Chapel. It would have been his 85th Birthday.
