Elizabeth J Ferraro

Elizabeth Ann Jones Ferraro, 83, of Little River, SC passed away on 22 July 2022.
Born in Shelby, North Carolina on 16 February 1939, "Libby," as her family affectionately knew her, is predeceased by her husband, Andrew Ferraro, father, Ivey Jones and mother, Selma Hancock, and her brother, James Ronald Jones. She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Daniel and Kathleen Ferraro of Little River, SC, Lisa Walraven of Athens, GA,  Anthony and Vicki Ferraro of Augusta, GA, Mathew and Christina McCabe, of Yorktown, VA, and Jacob Harris and Andrea Ferraro of Rogersville, TN, as well as her eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, all of whom she was immensely proud.
Libby loved nothing more than family meals, bird song, and a beautiful garden. She loved dancing with her husband and screened-in porches. She loved playing Scrabble with her cousin, best friend, and greatest opponent, Harriette Burnett. She loved to read, and as a consequence raised five avid readers. She was a deep and abiding Christian and remained steadfast in her faith through many losses and illnesses. She moved often, but no matter where she was, she created a beautiful and inviting home. Everyone who knew her would say she was determined, loyal, and independent. But those of us who knew her well, whose lives she helped to guide, know that she was a force we are not likely to experience again.
Services will be conducted by Minister Daniel Banks at Myrtle Beach Christian Church, 1226 Burcale Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC, on Saturday 13 August 2022,  at 2:00 PM, with a later inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery where she will join her husband, Andrew Ferraro.
