Elizabeth Brown Obituary

Elizabeth Mary Brown, 93, was peacefully lifted up to our Lord on Saturday February 20, 2021. She was born in Bronx NY on February 19, 1928 to the late Bertha (McNaul) and Joseph Fanning, and sister to the late Robert Fanning.

Betty was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her pride and joy was evident during the holidays, birthdays, graduations, baby showers and weddings with her family. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, who enjoyed traveling the world with her husband to Europe, South America and cruises. She loved and doted on her dogs. Betty loved to plant flowers and dig in her garden. Her love for music was contagious and brought her much joy.

Betty was pre-deceased by her husband Richard F. Brown in 1997 and her second husband George R. Brown in 2019.

Betty is survived by her four children: daughter Susan (Steve) Tomeo of Calabash, NC, daughter Monica (Peter) Vasco of Sykesville, MD, daughter MaryBeth (David) Cloer of Chester, NY and son Michael (Diane) Brown of Myrtle Beach, SC. Eight grandchildren: Danielle (Mark), Tiffany (Chad), Peter John (Megan) ,Arliea, Allissa (Tom), Victoria, Holly (Thom), and David (Hayley).Eight great grandchildren; Hudson, Tucker,  Rylan, Sofia, Declan, Ronnie, Lila and Edie.

A graveside service will be performed at the Twin City Memorial Gardens in Loris, SC at 11:00am on Wednesday February 24, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elizabeth’s name. to the Open Arms Foundation which provides support to the Embrace Hospice Care facility in Myrtle Beach, SC. Embrace totally epitomizes their name for the care they provided to Elizabeth for which her family is forever grateful.
