Eleanore (Zeman) Barlow

Eleanore Zeman Barlow, 81, surrounded by her loving family, entered into eternal life through the blood of Jesus Christ on September 16, 2022.

Mrs. Barlow was born on November 16, 1940, in Marion, SC, the daughter of the late Frederick T. and Helen M. Zeman. Eleanore was raised in Marion and spent most of her summers in Murrells Inlet where she loved water sports and spending time with her friends and family. She graduated Marion High School and met her late husband, James B. Chestnut of Myrtle Beach, SC in 1958. From that union, three children, Kimberly C. Poston, husband Rick, Jeffery B. Chestnut, wife Cyndi, and Troy W. Chestnut, wife Melissa have loved and shared valuable time with their beloved mama! Eleanore was fortunate to find love again in 1989 and married Bobby Barlow of Florence, SC.

Survivors also include her eight grandchildren, Josh, Dylan, Madison, Rachel, Clay, Jessica, Chase, and Bayler, as well as her six great grandchildren, Paxin, Janie, Gabrielle, Joshua, Eleanore, and Waverly. In addition, Eleanore is survived by her loving siblings, Patricia Z. Bethea, Jody Z. Lide (Harry), Fredrick T. Zeman “Teddy” (Angie) and Robert E. Zeman (Terri). Eleanore moved from Florence to Myrtle Beach in 2005 as she wished to reside closer to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. It made her day to receive calls and visits from her family and friends. She loved animals, gardening and taking care of her flowers.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Chestnut Cemetery, 2500-2872 Chestnut Road, Longs, SC 29568.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
