Elaine Latchum Paddy

Mrs. Elaine Latchum Paddy, 83, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, South
Carolina.
Born on June 10, 1942, in Bishopville, Maryland, Elaine was the daughter of Ruth Timmons Hazzard and
John Wilson Latchum.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roland Paddy. Together they shared a life filled
with enduring companionship and family devotion. She was also predeceased by her mother and father;
her granddaughter Lauren Oaks; and her grandson Ryan Paddy.
Elaine is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Stacie Lind Cipollaro and Michele Paddy Refosco; her
brother Jimmy Latchum; her grandson, Joseph Cipollaro; her granddaughter, Carly Cipollaro; and great-
granddaughter Kai Cantello. She also leaves behind her stepson Ricky Paddy; stepdaughters Denise Oaks
and Stephanie Roche; granddaughter Taylor Oaks; and grandson Casey Roche.
A passionate tennis enthusiast throughout her life, Elaine found joy both on the court and as a
spectator. Whether playing a match or watching a tournament unfold, tennis brought her energy and
connection to others who shared her love for the sport.
Elaine’s life was marked by quiet strength and enduring presence. Her memory lives on through the
bonds she shared with her family and the lasting impressions she left on those who knew her.
May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who carry her in their hearts.
