Edward Joseph McAdoo, 67, formerly of Billerica, MA, beloved husband of Deborah, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 8, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Born on August 19, 1957, to Barbara and Elliott McAdoo. Ed was a graduate of Shawsheen Tech High School, Class of 1976. He recently retired from Waccamaw Management where he was a Building Maintenance Engineer. He was an active member of the Myrtle Beach Moose Lodge and President of his HOA.
Ed was a devoted husband to his wife of 48 years, Deborah McAdoo. He was a loving father to his daughters, Melissa Weeden and her husband Jeffrey of Conway, SC, and Amy Harris and her husband David of Blythewood, SC. His cherished grandchildren, Ryan McAdoo, Zachary Weeden, Ava Weeden, and Emma Harris, brought him immense joy. He also shared a special bond with his faithful dog, Max.
He is survived by his brother Elliott Linwood of CA; sister Charlene Martin and her husband Jeff of Greenville, SC; sister Robin; and brother Michael of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his father, Elliott McAdoo, his mother, Barbara McAdoo and his sister, Suzanne Wilson.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family and taking walks with his devoted companion, Max. A true friend to all, Ed was known for his quick wit and warm presence, he had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear. His ability to bring laughter to any room was unmatched, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
All are welcome to attend the Celebration of Life for Edward, which is planned for Saturday, April 12th, 2025, from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM located at the Myrtle Beach Moose Lodge (479 Burcale Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579).
