December 22, 1957 ~ December 27, 2024 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Obituary

Don was full of life and loved by many over his 67 years on this earth. He walked many paths and was known by several names, Son, Brother, Daddy, friend, and most important to him recently, Granda. Whomever he loved, he loved with his whole heart.

Don was raised by his parents, Doris and Roy Hadfield, and grew up with his siblings in Illinois. In the 80’s, Don served his country for six years as a photographer in the United States Marine Corps before he was honorably discharged. While stationed in Quantico, VA he met his former wife, Helen, and together they raised five children. Don’s priority in life was ensuring his children were okay and know his love for them.

In the early 90’s, Don accepted Jesus. In his later years, Don began a walk following Jewish roots and came to know Jesus by his Hebrew name, Yeshua HaMashiach. He grew very faithful in his walk and studied intently, even too intently at times.

Don’s joy in life was his 13 Grandchildren with whom he tried to instill a positive walk with our Lord and Savior. He wanted everyone to know of God’s love and set out to sound his shofar in every state he traveled across America. Don was very outspoken about his love for his Mother and it was important for him to honor her and see that she be taken care of. Although he is now gone and won’t be able to do all the things he planned, we will carry him in our hearts knowing he’s exactly where he wanted to be; once again holding his Granddaughter.

Don was preceded in death by his Father, Roy, Brother, Scott, and Granddaughter, Bella. Don is survived by his Mother Doris, his Sisters: Wendy and Jennifer (John), his Children: Tracy (Adam), Shelly (Evan), Ashley, Kyle (Samantha), Anthony, his 12 Grandchildren: Bailie, James, Shaun, Jenna, Zachary, Rose, Haidyn, Daltyn, Jonathan, Greyson, Jaxyn, and Nolan, as well as numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

At noon Tuesday, January 7th 2025 there will be a graveside service open to the public at Ocean Woods Cemetery located at 2408 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. A reception will follow at Melech Ha Olam located at 1131 Shine Avenue Suite 3.
