Delores Anne Tolley

Delores Anne Tolley, affectionately known as Anne, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, at the age of 90. Born on June 3, 1935, in Burlington, North Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Virgil Grady Winfrey and Mary Evelyn Winfrey.

Anne’s life was deeply rooted in her faith, which provided her with strength and guidance throughout her years. She began each day with devotionals, finding solace and joy in her spiritual practices. Her unwavering faith was a source of inspiration to her family and those who knew her.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years, George Tolley, with whom she shared a life filled with love and cherished memories. Together, they enjoyed fishing—a pastime that brought Anne great happiness and created lasting moments with family and friends.

Anne is survived by her loving daughter Georgeanne Rice and son Scott Tolley. She was a proud grandmother to Tolley Rice (Joseph Ziegler), Brooke Tolley, and Giedre Watkins (Edmund Watkins), as well as a doting great-grandmother to Gabby and Eddie Watkins. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them. In her later years, Anne found comfort and companionship in the care of Deb Jamieson, her dedicated caregiver.

A creative spirit, Anne had a gift for crafting beautiful bows and wreaths that she generously shared with others. Her love for flowers reflected her appreciation for nature’s beauty and brought warmth to her home and gatherings.

Anne was also predeceased by her son-in-law Jim Rice, whose memory she held close to her heart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, Wilkes Hall, 3010 Robert Grissom Parkway, Myrtle Beach.

Anne’s legacy of love, faith, creativity, and devotion to family will forever be cherished by those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
