Dana Elisabeth (Egbert) Higgins

Dana Elisabeth Higgins, 57, died after a lengthy hospital stay in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was born September 20, 1967 in Greensboro, NC, daughter to Thomas Egbert and Judy Burris (Mills).

Dana was creative and loved to make things. She wrote articles that were published in magazines. Loved to crochet, make jewelry, and paint. She always had deep respect for the Jewish people and made a Declaration of Faith in Judaism in 1986. Her and Paul spent many years in the UK, where Dana cared for Paul’s mom during her last years. Dana loved her dogs, the beach, squash casserole, Law and Order, and to travel. She loved to watch her granddaughter Lilliana on stage in dance and theater.

She is survived by Paul Higgins of the home, mother Judy Burris (Bill), daughter Rachel (Stephen), sister Kimberly (Michael), stepsisters Lori (Steve), Angela, Jodie, stepbrothers Tony (Melissa), Bryan (Donna), Granddaughter Lilliana, many loved nieces and nephews, and close friends that were like family.
