Clyde H. Owens, husband of Patsy "Pat" Owens died on the morning of May 2,2022 after an extended illness. Clyde was born on March 4, 1940 in Anderson, South Carolina to the late James G. Owens, Sr.and Ethel Owens. He was predeceased by his sisters; Bobbie and Betty and his brothers; James Jr., Raymond and Joe. Surviving is a sister Linda Nicholes of Anderson, South Carolina. He was also predeceased by three nephews; Johnny and Rick Owens, a niece Kelley Owens, a nephew Michael Campbell, and a number of nieces and nephews living. In life, with over 40 years of service in the news paper business, he retired from the Sun News. He was a charter-member of Forestbrook Baptist Church. Those who knew him, knew of his passion for golf, playing the courses and enjoying watching it on TV. With his prize moment being a hole in one at The Deer Track Golf Club. His time was also well spent working in his yard. However, his greatest love was spending time with his family and the one true love of his life Patsy "Pat" Owens of 63 years. He is survived by his wife Patsy "Pat" Owens. His daughter; Lisa of Boise, Idaho. His sons; Chris (Lisa) of Conway, South Carolina and Brian (Shelley) of Conway, South Carolina. His grandchildren; Chance of Idaho, Jeffrey of Boise, Idaho, Autumn of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Christopher "Chris" of Conway, South Carolina. Three great grandchildren; Matthias and Christion Flores of Twin Falls, Idaho and Lorence Hawes of Yuma, Arizona. On May 3, 2022 a private funeral service and burial was held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway, South Carolina and officiated by McMillan-Small per his wishes. The kind people at Amedisys Hospice have planted a tree in his memory.
