Clara Parciak LaRocca, 103 of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. Born on June 29, 1922, Clara was one of seven children, all of whom preceded her in death.
Clara was married to the love of her life, Armand LaRocca, for nearly 70 years until his passing in 2014. Together they built a beautiful life centered on family, tradition, and love. Their journey took them to different parts of the country as they pursued work opportunities, and Clara and Armand created lifelong friendships in every home they made. They cherished evenings filled with card games, Cribbage, music, and the joy of forming lasting, loving connections wherever they went.
As the matriarch of her family. Clara was nothing short of a legend – her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering devotion left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Known for her talents in the kitchen, Clara delighted her daughters, grandchildren, and later great-grandchildren with her culinary and baking masterpieces, each dish a reflection of her love. Beyond her kitchen, she cherished long outdoor walks, her daily crossword puzzles, and a good book, often sharing these simple joys with her family.
Clara is survived by her devoted daughters, Karen and Margaret; sons-in-law, Bruce and Donald; her beloved grandchildren, Karen, Melissa, Michael, and Cathy; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Olivia, Nicholas, Brent, and Jack.
All services will be private, in keeping with the wishes of the family.
Clara’s legacy will live on in the meals shared, the stories told, and the love carried forward by those who were blessed to call her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
