Mrs. Richardson had a remarkable range of talents. She graduated from college with a
double degree in mathematics and chemistry but also enjoyed an artistic side playing
the flute and making crafts. She loved to grow roses and play with her dogs.
In high school, she was an outstanding student and was admitted to the National
Honors Society.
Her career began in the Ft Worth, TX Water Department as a chemist. Later, she
became a chemist for AVX Corporation in Myrtle Beach, SC. She then moved to the
career she truly loved, teaching eight grade mathematics for 16 years in the Horry
County School system. She was nominated for teacher of the year for Horry County.
She was active in the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital fundraising.
While teaching math was the career she loved, teaching Bible school was her greatest
joy. Young and old alike know more about the Bible and are bearing fruit because of her
teaching.
Cherie loved the Lord, her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
