Charles "Chip" Wesley Smith, age 56, passed away on April 10, 2025, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Born on September 25, 1968, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Chip brought light and laughter to those around him from an early age. His life was marked by a deep love for the outdoors and a passion for connecting with others. Whether casting a line into still waters or walking the woods during hunting season, Chip found peace and joy in nature. Golf outings and Sunday football were cherished pastimes that brought them closer to friends and family alike.
A skilled plumber by trade, Chip was known just as much for his craftsmanship. Chip had a unique gift for lifting spirits—always ready with a smile or a kind word. With a kind soul and an easygoing nature, he lit up every room he entered and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He loved like no other and cared deeply for everyone he encountered.
Chip is lovingly remembered by his son Tyler Smith; daughter Neely Riley and husband Raymond Riley; his sister Staci Broadhurst and husband Jamie Broadhurst; niece Jordan Smith and daughter Olivia Smith and many other family members and close friends.
Chip will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 9:30-11:00am, with a service following directly afterwards at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, 910 67th Ave N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572
