Carol J. Stallings

Carol J Stallings 82, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023.  She was born in Selma, NC on August 10, 1941 a daughter of the late Leonard and Maude (Phillips) Jones

Carol is survived by her children, Pastor James E. Stallings, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Myrtle Beach, SC; David Dwayne Stallings and his wife, Pam of Summerville, SC and Luther Daryl Stallings and his wife, Gaynelle of Scottsville, Va.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiffany and Joseph, a sister, Shelly Eaglehunter of Mullins, SC; and six great-grandchildren.  She was Aunt Carol to many nieces and nephews, Joy, Heather, Josh, Michael, Jason and many others.  She was predeceased by her sister, Elsie and a brother, David Jones.

Carol J Stallings was a loving mother of three sons. She was a humble and compassionate servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her entire adult life was a life of servitude to Jesus, her family, and the Community, especially the poor, the needy, the afflicted, and the homeless. She served in so many ways a Founder of Swash Park Ministries. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1982 when she moved to Myrtle Beach from Charleston SC where she served as a member of the choir for 40 years, She was a member of the Board of Director Alliance Inn, Guardian ad Litem, Rape Crisis Center, Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association just to name a few. She was a Sister in Beta Sigma Phi for 60 years. Carol was recognized many times with plaques and certificates of appreciation from Guardian ad Litem (one signed by Gov. Jim Hodges of South Carolina) for her work with children, City of Myrtle Beach, Grand Strand Community Rape and others.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, 910 67th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC.   A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at May's Chapel, 3831 US 117 Alt Highway, Dudley, NC 28333.  A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach, SC, 4th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC.
