Carey Owen Gillis

Carey Owen Gillis 84 passed away Friday, July 4, 2025, at his home.

He was born May 14, 1941, in Roxboro, NC, a son of the late Leonard and Grace Gravitte Gillis.  He was also predeceased by a son, Mark Gillis, a brother, Earl Gillis, and a sister, Amelia Daniel.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years Catheryn Gillis, his son, Stacey Gillis, grandchild, Dylan Gillis and great-grandchild, Isabelle Gillis: a brother, Royce Gillis. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 10:15 AM until 10:50 AM prior to the service.
