Bruce Gilchrist Landgren, 68, of Myrtle Beach passed away at home on May 21, 2023 after a sudden illness. He lived in Newington, Connecticut before moving to Myrtle Beach five years ago. Bruce worked at A&D Centerless for the last 20 years before retiring in 2018.
Bruce enjoyed life to the fullest with his wife, Terry. He particularly enjoyed vacationing in the Caribbean, Mexico, Myrtle Beach, and Hilton Head, working outside in his yard, taking care of his jeep, repairing anything that was broken, and socializing and going to dinner with his large group of friends. He also shared a special bond with his girls—Niki, Sami, and Ali—three adorable Shih Tzus.
Bruce is survived by the love of his life, his wife and best friend for over 34 years, Theresa (Kowalewski). He is also survived by his brother David, his sister-in-law Charlotte, his niece Jamie (Grove), her husband Owen, and his nephew Jarod; his brother Richard; and his sister-in-law Maryann Perzan and her fiancé James Brule. In addition, Bruce will be mourned by his extended Cresswind family. He selflessly helped his neighbors and friends when they were in need. He will be deeply missed.
He was predeceased by his father Champe and mother Ruth (Snelgrove).
A Catholic Funeral Mass in celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 24th which would have been his 69th birthday. The visitation will begin at 5:00 pm followed by an 6:00 pm Mass at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bruce’s name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, http:www.pancan.org., 1500 Rosecrans Ave, Ste. 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
