It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bruce Kligman, beloved husband, father, brother, and co-founder of Klig’s Kites in Myrtle Beach. Bruce passed away suddenly from a heart attack on August 29th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of family, leadership, and community.
Born in Hyattsville, Maryland, Bruce lived a life marked by hard work, creativity, and generosity. As the guiding force of his family, he was the foundation upon which so much love and strength were built. Along with his family, he co-founded Klig’s Kites, a business that has become a cherished part of the Grand Strand community for decades. His warmth, humor, and determination touched the lives of countless people – whether through a conversation in the shop or the colorful kites soaring over the beaches he loved so much.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Diane Kligman; his sons, Zachary Kligman and Luis Kligman; his sister, Lisa Kligman; and his brother, Richard Kligman. His family will forever remember him as their leader, anchor, and source of unwavering strength. His sons will continue to honor his memory by carrying on the family business and ensuring that his legacy lives on for generations to come.
