Bruce C. Gist

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the sudden passing of Bruce Gist, of Conway, SC, on Saturday November 1, 2025, at the age of 65. He slipped into the arms of his Lord and Savior with his loved ones by his side, after a courageous battle with sudden congestive heart failure and respiratory difficulties. 

   He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 15 years, Megan Gist, and daughter Addison, age 4. Son, Bruce C. Gist Jr (Nora Hess), Son, Brian W. Gist (Krystal Gist), grandchildren Abbigail Gist, Haili Gist, Tanner Gist, Nicholas Gist, Quentin Gist, Zachary Desotell, Gabriella Clink, and great granddaughter Blakeleigh. Sister Michelle Gist Snyder (Bob Snyder), nephew Beau Snyder, and niece Brooke Snyder, as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

   He was preceded in death by his daughter Kinsely Gist, son Greyson Gist, as well as his parents Mary Lou Gist and Galen C. Gist. 

  Bruce was born in Weeling, WV and was raised in Wellsburg, WV, and Tampa, FL. He was a graduate of C. Leon King Sr. High School, and he held a business degree from West Liberty University. He was extremely intelligent and held the highest score on the CPA exam in WVA, an accomplishment he was very proud of. He spent the majority of his life in the financial industry, and in his later life he was an automotive salesman for Carmax. Bruce was also a licensed insurance agent. 

   Bruce had an incredibly big, beautiful heart. He loved everyone and always wanted to put a smile on others faces. He was true joy and sunshine to anyone who he came into contact with. He truly lived to love and his legacy is the joy he brought to even the darkest moments for anyone he met. His love and legacy will be carried in the hearts of all his family, friends, and everyone who's lives were blessed by his presence. 

  A memorial service will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home and Crematory, 910 67th Avenue n, Myrtle Beach, SC on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Memorial Donations may be made in Bruce C. Gist 's name to the American Lung Association.
