Bonnie Jean Hammond Robinson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Jean Hammond Robinson, who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the age of 75.

Jean was born on June 22, 1951, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to her loving parents, Bonnie Bell Taylor and Floyd Clifton Hammond. Myrtle Beach held a very special place in Jean’s heart. It was the place she loved, the place she called home, and where she and her beloved husband, Ernest Wayne Robinson, raised their family.
Jean was a proud Myrtle Beach Seahawk, graduating from Myrtle Beach High School in 1969. She was also a devoted South Carolina Gamecocks fan and loved attending their games whenever she could.

Above all else, Jean loved her family. Her children and grandchildren were the greatest joy of her life. She was a loving mother to Jamie Hammond LeFever (Tracy Ballard), Heather LeFever, and Christopher Hammond Robinson (Melanie Robinson). Of all the titles she carried in life, Nana was her favorite. She treasured every moment with her three grandchildren, Hammond Vascovich, Kimberly Marie, and Savannah Robinson, who brought immeasurable love and happiness into her life.

Jean will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, her devotion to her family, her deep love for Myrtle Beach, and the memories she created with the people she loved most. Her family will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts.

Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Bell Taylor; father, Floyd Clifton Hammond; daughter, Heather Marie LeFever;  her maternal grandparents, Janie Cox Tayor and Toland C. and paternal grandparents, Julius Hammond and Johnny Parker Hammond.

She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and who will miss her beyond words. Though she is no longer with us, the love of a mother, wife, daughter, Nana, and friend never truly leaves us. It lives on in the memories, stories, and hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

Rest peacefully, Jean. You will be loved and missed forever.
