Bernadette passed away peacefully early Sunday morning surrounded with love at her home in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Survived by the love of her life for 60 years Anthony, sons Anthony II (Danielle) of Myrtle Beach and Michael (Nancy) of West Deptford, grandchildren Anthony III, Matthew, Michael, Jr. and Annaztasia and angel grandchild baby Nicholas. Her extended family includes brothers and sisters, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Her family was her entire heart and soul and her pride everyday.
She was preceded in death by her parents Epifanio and “Fannie” Donato and her beloved brother Joseph Donato.
Bernadette was born in Philadelphia, PA and spent most of her life residing in West Deptford, NJ & North Wildwood until she moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in 2020. She worked for the department of defense in Philadelphia for over 30 years until retirement in 2014. She loved all of her friends and had a passion for singing with her husband. Bernadette loved sitting oceanside on the beach reading a book and soaking up the sun. She had a huge heart and lifelong friends that became family. Even through her years of health issues, she always stayed positive and supported and uplifted others in need. Everyone who knew Bernadette knew how much she loved to decorate her home for the holidays and share her delicious homemade Christmas cookies with family and friends. If you received a tray or tin of her cookies around Christmas, then you know how lucky you truly were.
Entombment will be held by her family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org
