Bernadette Ann Kahl passed away peacefully at her residence in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was born in Baltimore, MD and was the beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Kahl, as well as the daughter of the late Anna Borowski. She is survived by her son Christopher and his wife Margaret, her other son Craig and his wife Michelle, and her grandchildren Stephen, Jonathan, Caroline, and Alexander. Bernadette also had the privilege of being an aunt to several nieces and nephews.
During her fulfilling career, Bernadette served as an Executive Assistant to the VP of Volvo on the East Coast before transitioning into real estate, where she worked as an agent for over 30 years. She was employed by Century 21, where she rose to the position of vice president of C.C. Rittenhouse Century 21. Later, she moved to Coldwell Banker, where she received the Presidents Club Award for excellence in sales and customer service.
In retirement, Bernadette found joy in the Myrtle Beach community. She actively participated in the Red Hat Society and was elected as the Queen Mother. Bernadette was also instrumental in creating a senior group in Myrtle Beach called Maryland Ladies. Additionally, her passion for cats led her to volunteer for Kitty Claws Rescue Group SC.
There will be a Visitation at the McMillan & Small Funeral Home, 910 67th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A separate viewing and funeral will be held in Maryland (date and time to be determined)
