Barbara Ann McElligott   11/8/1942 - 11/26/2025

Mother of 3 children Katie, Tom and Dan. Grandmother of 8,  Tom McElligott III, Grace Vanovitch, Sophie McElligott, Penny Vanovitch, Connor Vanovitch, James Vanovitch, Denise McElligott and Paloma McElligott.

         Barbara had 16 years of a Catholic Education including BS from Mt St Vincent University in Riverdale NY. Her Major was in Math and a minor in Physics. She had a MS in Math From University of Maryland.

        Barbara was recruited by IBM where she learned the basics of the emerging field of computers . She left to join Pan Am where she was responsible for writing the first active on line programs, 

       Her Flight Planning program was the first of it's kind and Pan Am went on to sell the innovative program to all the other airlines.

Once she married Tom Mcelligott  we travelled over the entire globe going to such places as New Zealand, Austrailia and the rest of the world.

       Upon retirement we both an RV and toured 48 of the 50 states.

If you asked her what her greatest accomplishment was she would tell you it was our 3 children. An aviate sports she was her children biggest fan. Education was a huge part our children's life and she made sure they settled for nothing but the best, graduating from some of the finest Universities  in the country. Bucknell, Colgate and Brown Universities,

       Her grandchildren were her greatest delight and she doted on them every change she could.

All in all a great life, well earned and she will be missed by her entire family.
