Anthony "Tony" Jon Aumiller

Anthony "Tony" Jon Aumiller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on August 24, 2026, after bravely facing heart problems for several years.

Born on April 21, 1956, in Beaver Springs, PA, Tony was the cherished son of the late Norma June and Joel Aumiller. Tony’s life was a beautiful tapestry of love, family, and service. He was the devoted husband of Jacqueline K. Aumiller, with whom he shared 23 years of marriage filled with joy, gardening, and the companionship of their many adored pets. Together, they created a life brimming with shared passions and laughter. A proud graduate of West Snyder High School's Class of 1974, Tony dedicated 25 years of his career to the Selinsgrove State Center.

Upon his retirement, he found his way to the sunny shores of Myrtle Beach, drawn by the warmth of his daughters and grandchildren. Tony's legacy is lovingly carried forward by his daughters, Renee Mencken and her husband Scott, and Dayna Booth and her husband Travis. He was also a cherished stepfather to Arielle Ard and Holly Gonzalez, alongside her husband Chris Jarrell. His life was further enriched by nine treasured grandchildren: Grace, Luke, Elijah, Samuel, Oliver, Isaac, Zeke, Silas, and Carmen, who brought boundless joy to his days.  He is also survived by his siblings, Joy Wagner and her husband Noah, and Dexter Aumiller and his wife Robin; and several nieces & nephews.

A man of many passions, Tony was an avid fisherman who found peace on the water with his best friend, Allie. His adventurous spirit was marked by the pride he took in an alligator skull, a trophy from his memorable catch. Tony’s green thumb was evident in his flourishing garden, especially his beloved tomato plants. He was a true enthusiast of US history and the weather, and cherished the simple pleasure of sharing coffee with his close-knit circle of friends every Tuesday and Friday. His commitment to community and fraternity was exemplified by his active membership in the Master of Middleburg Lodge No. 619 F. & A.M. of Pennsylvania. Tony’s leadership and wisdom earned him the esteemed title of Past Master in 1994, and he further distinguished himself by becoming a 32nd Degree Mason in the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction. He lived out the values of reverence for God, justice, tolerance, and service to humanity. Tony’s kindness, patience, and ever-present smile were hallmarks of his generous spirit. He never missed a moment to support his grandchildren, attending every game, concert, play, and birthday with pride and love. 

A remembrance to honor and celebrate Tony’s life will be held on August 30, 2026 at the Cooper House, 6011 Dick Pond Road, Myrtle Beach, SC at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Grand Strand Humane Society, in Tony's memory, continuing his legacy of generosity and compassion for pets. 

As we bid farewell to Tony, we remember a life well-lived and a heart that touched all who knew him. His memory will forever remain a guiding light for those he loved and those who loved him.
