Anthony “Andy” DeMeglio, 85, of Conway, SC, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025.
Born on April 1, 1939, in Ozone Park, New York, to Dominick and Anna Ruth DeMeglio, Andy was proud of his Italian and Irish heritage. He honorably served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Kraleshime, Germany. After his service, he dedicated his career to the Brick Layers Association, where he worked as a foreman and was a proud member of the Bricklayer’s Union NY Local One.
Above all else, Andy was a hardworking family man, devoted husband, and the best dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa there was. He shared 71 wonderful years (65 married years) with the love of his life, Estelle, and together they built a beautiful life, raising six children. He was known for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and the unwavering love he had for his family.
In retirement, Andy and Estelle relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC. Andy loved to golf and bowl, and he cherished time spent with family and friends. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Estelle; his children, Linda Ragan (Duane), Lisa Infranco (Andrew), Lori Mefford, Lona Varn (Jamie), Laraina Cockrill (Sean), and Daniel DeMeglio; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominick and Anna Ruth, and his siblings, John, Vincent, and Ella.
A visitation will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 4:00pm-6:00pm.
