Annie Sue (Crowe) Coley passed away Saturday December 28, 2024, at Grand Strand

the late Bud and Maneta Crowe of Kannapolis NC. She was preceded in death by her
husband Jack H. Coley as well as her grandson Michael C. Huss. She is survived by

North Myrtle Beach 54 years ago and discovered a talent she never knew she had. She
began taking art lessons from local artist and soon began painting the local landscapes
of tobacco barns and seascapes. Her paintings could often be found in local banks,
restaurants and galleries. She would show her artwork in the Blue Crab Festival and
Art in the Park along with countless other festivals that would showcase her art and
talent. She later joined a group of local artists known as the The Back Porch Painters.
Mrs. Coley and her late husband shared a love for food, were excellent cooks, working
side by side at some of the local hotel restaurants along the Grand Strand. She also
loved to travel and would not hesitate to venture out on an adventure including cruises
and trips to Europe and even getting lost in Spain as she went exploring on her own.
Her and her late husband also loved to fish, crab, shrimp, clam and oyster in the waters
of the Cherry Grove inlets and marshes and expressed her wishes to be reunited with
her late husband and their ashes scattered together in those waters.
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to all the caregivers
and medical staff that provided her with excellent care that allowed her to live in her own
home and maintain her independence that was so important to her.
The family will have a service at a later date.
