Anne Marie Harrison, 64, peacefully passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026, at her home in Conway, South Carolina, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Trenton, Ontario, Canada, on April 25, 1961, to the late Orland Owen Turriff and Martha Katharina (Schulz) Turriff. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Franziska Anderson.
For most of her adult life, Anne was involved with restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area, both as a server and manager. She excelled with Denny’s, Firehouse Subs, and Mammy’s Kitchen, developing her skills along the way.
For a decade (1987-1997) she also helped her husband manage their popular helicopter sightseeing operation in N. Myrtle Beach and Litter River.
In 2017, Anne and her husband purchased a small, roadside diner near Conway, SC and turned that into a well-known and well-loved family eatery named, Nannie Annie’s Breakfast & Lunch. That venue has become her legacy and lives on under the guidance of her husband, son Matthew, future daughter-in-law Brittany, and their dedicated employees. A favorite pastime of hers was a relaxing walk along the beach, collecting shark teeth.
Anne is survived by her husband of 44 years, Alan; her two sons, Christopher (Stacy) and Matthew (fiancée Brittany); two granddaughters, McKenzy and Harper; and grandson Chase.
She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Leslie); and five nieces and five nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations in her honor at Leaps of Love (1005 Broadway, Highland, IL 62249) or leapsoflove.org.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at McMillan-Small Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dennis Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM-11:00 AM and following the service.
