Anne Bell Beckham, wife of the late Francis Morgan Beckham III passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of July 29th, 2022, surrounded by loving family.
Anne was born October 6th, 1928, in Tabor City, NC. Her family move to Myrtle Beach, SC when she was 6 years old. She attended Myrtle Beach public schools and later the Nursing Program at Coker College. She worked her entire career at Ward Realty Company as a summer Rental Agent and Realtor. She met the love of her life Frank after he served in the United States Marine Corps and enrolled in the University of South Carolina where he played football. They were then married July 25th, 1947, and brought 4 sons into the world starting in 1949. She is predeceased in death by her husband Francis Morgan Beckham III, her son John Dewey Beckham and her granddaughter Stacey Nicole Beckham.
She is survived by 3 sons, Francis Morgan Beckham IV (Linda), Thomas Guthrie Beckham (Carol) and Warren Ogden Beckham (Kym), a half-brother Stephen Bell, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was affectionately also known as “Ms. Anne” and “Buddy” by friends who loved her.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caregivers who gave their time and compassion to care for Anne in her later years.
She danced among the skies on laughter silvered wings and said that her life was “one helluva of a ride”!
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 2nd at the First United Methodist Church of Myrtle Beach. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM, Monday, August 1st at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis, TN.
