Angela Marie Shorey, born on September 29, 1978, in Conway, South Carolina, passed away on February 26, 2025, also in Conway, South Carolina.
Angela was the beloved wife of John Shorey for 24 years and a devoted mother to Katlyn and Avery Shorey of Conway, as well as her "adopted" daughter, Ryann Stephens. She is also survived by her father, Joseph Yozzo of Conway; mother-in-law, Bonnie Shorey of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Christine Grubbs (Brian) of Conway, Jessica Leigh (Joey) of Conway, and Trisha Graves (Mark) of Rockingham, North Carolina; one brother, Joseph Yozzo (Krystle) of North Chesterfield, Virginia; sister-in-law, Lisa Triptlet (Brian) of Surfside; two nieces; six nephews; one great-niece; and several aunts and uncles. Angela also had a deep love for her cherished pets—her three dogs, Mya, Roxy, and Paxton, and her cat, Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda, as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Angela dedicated 25 years to Blue Cross and Blue Shield as a Claims Analyst. She found joy in shopping, spending time at the beach, and creating lasting memories with family and friends. A passionate collector of all things dachshund-related, she also loved watching *F•R•I•E•N•D•S*. Above all else, her children were her greatest pride—whether supporting them in Girl Scouts or archery, she was always their biggest cheerleader.
A funeral service will be held at McMillan-Small Funeral Home, 910 67th Avenue North, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the service immediately following. A private graveside ceremony for immediate family will be held afterward.
