Allen G Fields

Allen G Fields, 76, born in Lorain, OH and formerly of Schnecksville, PA died unexpectedly on November 14, 2023, in Myrtle Beach, SC where he lived with his wife since 2014.

Al is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda (Sell), and his beloved daughter and grandson, Dr. Alison Fields, and her son Asher in Norman, OK.

He was the son of the late Allen G. Fields and Olga (Kish) Fields and was predeceased by his sister Joyce Butler in 1995.

Al was a lifelong educator, retiring in 2006 as Superintendent of Salisbury Township School District, Allentown, PA. He coached football for many years (Fremont and Paulding High Schools in OH, Emmaus HS and Kutztown University in PA) after being named an All-American athlete at Ashland University, OH. He received a Master of Education at Bowling Green State University, OH, and did doctoral work for administrative certifications at Lehigh University, PA.

Al was a kind and loving husband, father, and friend who will be sorely missed.

Arrangements are being handled by McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle beach.
