Alexander "Lex" B. Gray, Jr.

Alexander "Lex" B. Gray, Jr., 77, husband of Magda Poutakoglou Gray, died Monday, January 3, 2022 at Embrace Hospice House, Myrtle Beach, SC.

He was born on November 15, 1944 in Sewickley, PA a son of the late Alexander B. Sr., and Margaret Paulson Gray.

Mr. Gray retired as the president of Johnson Brothers Distributors in Durham, NC; He was a five time Croasdaile Country Club Champion, and 2008 Durham Herald Sun Senior Medalist. A huge Pittsburgh Steeler fan all of his life, a car enthusiast, and charismatic person.  He was also a billiard enthusiast who often played pool with Jimmy Beumont.

Survivors including his wife are: one son, James (Jim) Gray and wife, Shirley of Myrtle Beach, SC; one brother, William (Bill) Gray and wife, Syl of Columbus, OH; a niece, Elizabeth Gray; one step-grandson, J.D. Leopard; and one four legged companion, Mr. BoBo.

A memorial service will be on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 4:00 PM at McMillan-Small Funeral Home.
