Adrina Day Patterson

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Adrina Day Patterson on Sunday August
3rd, 2025, at the age of 68 in her home. She was born on May 29th, 1957, in Seneca, South
Carolina as the cherished daughter of the late John Earl Patterson and Jeanne Rogers
Patterson.
Adrina was a woman of immense strength, creativity, and kindness. Her love and protection
of her family were unmatched. As a proud mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, all of which
will carry her memory forward in their hearts.
A graduate of Auburn University, Adrina balanced her passions for both business and
chemistry throughout her life, embracing new challenges with a spirit of learning and problemsolving.
She joked about not using her chemistry degree, but her innate curiosity and drive
powered her success in everything she did. As an entrepreneur Adrina founded Executone in
Wilmington, NC, and later thrived at AT&T as a business manager. It was her work with
Affinity Management Group, which she founded, that made a great impact by creating
programs to help communities and professional organizations thrive. Her creativity, passion,
and attention to detail were apparent in everything she touched.
Drin’s boundless generosity, quick wit, and spontaneous spirit were evident in all she did,
whether through her thoughtful gifts, contagious laughter, or the way she was always ready to
lend a hand or ear in times of crisis. Her commitment to justice and standing up for what was
right was a hallmark of her character and has left an indelible impact on all who had the
privilege of knowing her.
Adrina’s legacy will live on through her daughter Michelle Espinosa, granddaughter Cora
Suddeth, sister Marsha Johnson, Nieces Leslie Johnson and Néba Johnson, Nephew Wes
Johnson, and all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
