Mrs. Hebert Sadly I have just found out about your loss. Bill was my boss at Sak's in Cleveland, Ohio. He was, quite simply, the best boss I have worked for. His class, manners, kindness, and support were unparalleled. Unfortunately, we lost touch after he moved to Detroit. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Dear Dorie & Family.....It was with great sadness to hear that Bill had passed away. He was always so kind to me and truly cared about people. I crossed paths with Bill several times during our careers at Belk. He was always someone I admired and was such an asset to Belk. It's easy when meeting Bill that you have met someone Very Special and an honor to have known. He leaves such wonderful memories to all who crossed his path.....May GOD comfort you and the family and give you all peace! Yours in Christ...Jerry Vantell.

Dorie, I came to know him as Mr. Herbert but in a short while he became Bill - a great, caring person.

Dorie, I will always be eternally grateful for letting Bill touch my life, and the opportunity he gave me to work with him at Jacobson's. I found him to be caring and compassionate manager. With his guidance and support I was able to excel in my responsibilities, which I have carried forth to this day. You could always count on him! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the pleasure to work with Bill at Belk. As stated throughout the many messages, he was a man of integrity, great wisdom and a fine leader, an all around class act. He made all of us who had the pleasure of working with him, better leaders. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mrs. Hebert, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Bill at Jacobson's in Louisville. He was a very wonderful and caring man who took many of us under his wing. He was a true gentleman in every way. You are in my thoughts and my prayers.
