Obituary

Melvin A. “Skip” McDole, 73, passed away Sunday February 11, 2018 at Conway Medical Center.

He was born July 29, 1944 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Melvin A. and Wilhelmina McDole, Sr. He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn F. McDole, his daughter, Wendy Holly and his grandson, Melvin A. McDole IV.

Survivors include two children, Melvin A. “Chip” McDole III and Nicholas E. McDole and wife, Marlea and three grandchildren, Gregory, Mia Caroline and Drayton F. McDole.

A memorial service will be 1pm Saturday, February 17, 2018 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Gardner presiding. The family will have a time of fellowship at the Elks Lodge of Myrtle Beach directly following the service.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Elks Lodge of Myrtle Beach c/o Carolyn’s Coats for Kids, 606-27th Ave. N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

Skip and I came thru the chairs together many years ago, and also on the Lodges 1st Ritual Team. Skip will surely be missed by all and his many years of contribution as an Elk been an inspiration to us all!

Had the honor of calling this man a friend. Met about 7 years ago in Dulles Airport on the way to an Elks Convention and the rest was history. Future conventions he will be missed but he will get a toast.
