Mr. George O. Ellison, 68, husband of Cheryl Blackwell Ellsion died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his residence.

He was born July 20, 1949 in Dunkirk, NY a son of the late Robert Edward and Aileen Moore Newman Ellison.

Mr. Ellison was retired from the New York State Department of Corrections as a Lieutenant. After retirement they moved to Myrtle Beach where he worked at Myrtlewood Golf Course.

Survivors including his wife are: two sons; Scott and Fletcher Ellison; one daughter, Bethany Ellison; one step-daughter, Amie Parker and husband, Paul; three brothers, Mark, Richard, and Christopher Ellison; one sister, Katrin Inglee; three grandchildren, Jamison, Perry, and Blake Parker.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Thursday at McMillan-Small Funeral Home and will have a time of sharing following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the: Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

I was heart broken to hear of George's passing. He was my Lt. at Eastern CF. I even helped him sheer sheep a few times LOL. We were texting the night before he passed, because I had just retired. May God watch over and Bless all of you at this difficult time. HE WAS A GOOD MAN>
