James C. “Chuck” Hall, age 77, passed away, Saturday January 6, 2018 surrounded by his family after an illness. He was the son of the late Thomas Oscar and Grace Anderson Hall. He was predeceased by his brothers: Tom, Bruce, John and Cary Hall.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 57 years, Helen Stephens Hall, his son Steve (Tracey) Hall, daughters Angie (Wayne) Calhoun and Paula (Jon) Allen. His grandchildren: Russ Calhoun, Meredith (Matt) Varnadore, Natalie (Brad) Suggs, Sam Hall, Joe Hall, Jackson High, Parker (Carissa) High and Jon Allen, Jr.; great-grands: Trace Calhoun, Luke Varnadore, Lane Varnadore, Layton Suggs and Braylee Suggs. He is survived by his sister-in-laws Mabel Hall and Margaret Hall and many nieces and nephews.

Chuck was a 1958 graduate of Conway High School. He worked as a marketing specialist in the food broker industry for many years. He was an active supporter of the American Red Cross for many years. He loved hunting, fishing, sports and enjoying spending time with his family. He was a recreational league coach and a member of the Conway High “Graveyard” and “Backyard” Chain Crew for 30 years.

Chuck lived a life of faith in Jesus Christ. His life was a witness to his faith. One of his most important “jobs” was serving in various ministries in his church. He served as deacon, Sunday school teacher, youth leader, and on numerous committees. His home was always a place open to family and friends to laugh, talk, watch ballgames, and fellowship. For all of his grandchildren, his home was a favorite place where he always had time for them to play, to draw, to practice ball, and to imagine.

Chuck Hall’s family loved him--each knowing they were his favorite. Chuck Hall loved people and was dearly loved by people. What a wonderful legacy to leave behind!

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Siena Alford and nurse Shelia Locklear with Rivertown Family Medicine and the home health care givers with Amedisys and also Rivertown Pharmacy

Funeral Services will held 3:00 PM Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Maple Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM till 2:45 PM Sunday in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Maple Baptist Church Maintenance Building Fund, 4500 Hwy 65, Conway SC 29526.
