Msgt (Ret) Theodore W. Twigg Jr. (Ted) 78, passed away peacefully on Feb. 1, 2019 at his residents with his wife and children by his side after a long fight with diabetes. 

He was born on January 9, 1941 in Sibert Maryland, a son of the late Frances & Theodore W. Twigg Sr. He graduated from Oldtown High, Oldtown Maryland.  Immediately after high school Ted joined the U.S. Air Force.

Ted served in the U.S Air Force as a jet mechanic for 20 years and 7 months, retiring in 1980 from MBAFB.

He is Survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra Bruner Twigg, two daughters, Karen Pierce (Bryan) of Myrtle Beach, Rebecca Roth (Matt) of N. Charleston; one sister, Faye Burton of Cumberland Md, Two brothers; Edward Twigg (Eileen), Earl Twigg, (Laura Mae), Old Town, Maryland. Four Grandchildren; Darr Strait (Aisy), Kristen Mathews (Garret), Jed Roth and Jeremy Pierce (Teddi). Two Great Grandchildren; Drake Strait & Emma Grace Mathews.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at McMillan-Small Funeral Home with a visitation being held at funeral home to one hour prior to the service. Burial with full military honors will be following at Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway, SC.

To family and friends of Mr. Twigg Jr., I extend my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Knew Ted as a friend for more than
40 years.Ted was a kind and caring
man with a personality that showed
his good nature.Always willing to help

What a kind, gentle, and great guy Ted was. He is part of my earliest memories helping my Dad up on the hill. And he was so proud of each of you. He sure will be missed. God bless you all.
