Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the Vane family (Tommy,Jim & Mathew and their families). Paulette was such a special person, always welcomed everyone with open arms. All the kids on 93rd street loved her and considered her their second mom. She was a good friend. I’ll always remember the summer nights Sitting on her stoop drinking coffee she made and having some really good laughs. I’ll always remember her and her big smile. R.I.P. Paulette.

Our family is mourning with you . We were very lucky to have lived on the same block in Canarsie and shared some happy moments with all of you . A warmer and kinder person than Paulette we will never know. I hope all the outpouring of love for her is a comfort for all of you. May she continue to shine her love down on her beautiful family and may she truly rest in peace. Love you my friend.

Paulette was like a 2nd mom when times were tough for me. She was blunt but caring, funny and an all around wonderful woman. My mom still considered her a best friend even all the years that passed since living on 93rd street. We will miss her terribly. So truly sorry for the loss of Paulette

To the Vane family. Our deepest condolences. Paulette was like a sister we had so many good times back in Canarsie .The laughs, the tears, the crazy things we did.Cutting down a tree with a kitchen knife ,we laughed so hard. She was my rock with helping with my daughter when she was sick
She would put her red bandana on in the car and sing On The Road Again.I will miss you terribly.Rest in peace my very special friend. To Buddy, Tom, Jim and Matt no words can ease your pain, but she was just the best.
